      Pros

Excellent benefits including an account credit and health insurance. Focus on developing leaders with ongoing workshops, one on one's and opportunities to get involved in projects. Great leadership team amd supportive peers. Coaching and upskilling focus for staff overall. Feel safe to bring your whole self to work. Collaborative and inclusive approach to decision making, agile. Forward thinking, digitally driven business and no longer a stuffy, blue collar, telco.

      Cons

Constant restructures causing unease and job instability. Encourage feedback from employees to improve in different areas but not listening or delivering on promises. Capacity issues resulting in long hours worked.

      Pros

      - Strong staff benefits e.g. health/life insurance, account credit

      Cons

      - The further you go up the management chain, the more delusional and disconnected from the reality of frontline staff and the true needs of the customer the people get - Constant restructures - Painstakingly obvious that profit margins are far more important than employee job satisfaction - Job instability - they're very fond of putting people on extended secondments instead of offering them permanent contracts for roles, which often means you're doing more work (and more important work) for far less money than you really should be getting - Extremely toxic and suffocating sales culture - Lack of development opportunities unless you are working in Auckland - Complete lack of transparency from all levels of management, staff will often learn important things about changes/releases/major company issues at the very last minute and the whole truth is rarely told - Salaries for frontline were absolutely abysmal (we're talking minimum wage) prior to a review being launched last year - A company that truly does not live up to the values it claims to have

      Pros

Good employee packages Relaxed work environment (can also be painfully slow)

      Cons

Slow, bureaucratic environment. Almost impossible to get anything done if it involves other teams Constant restructures/jobs being cut, with lack of clarity from management Lack of talent within the company itself, relies on contractors to do heavy lifting in terms of highly skilled work.

      Pros

If your face fits then there is the opportunity for rapid advancement, you don't really even need to know the business.

      Cons

There is no STI for working for Spark and there have been no pay-raises for the top performers this year. There is a massive disconnect between senior management and the people at the grass roots level and constant restructures mean that no-one will speak out to fix it as people are too scared about losing their jobs. A bully of a GM is currently getting rid of anyone who doesn't agree with her way of doing things. The company is trying to be 'Agile' however this is currently a buzz word for no-one wanting to take ownership of the difficult issues. Instead, they are put into the too hard basket.

      Terrible management and dying slowly.

      Pros

Great modern buildings and like a lot of workplaces, some great people and benefits

      Cons

Constant restructuring with no stability. It has lead to disarray, lack of vision and has failure to understand market direction. It total lacks culture, unless it's brown-nosing to clueless managers. Right now, in an effort to improve its bottom line, it's culling staff, having determined the organisation must be lean and agile. Not to mention look good to shareholders for FY Results. Pity the customers and lack of service they put up with.
