Pros

Constantly kept busy. Company always seem to be in a rush to complete projects. A lot of over time hours.

Cons

The company is only interested in hiring new graduates with no experience due to cost savings and giving them Project Manager positions, rather than promoting and coaching existing experienced employees for those positions. Recognition and monetary compensation is not provided to all employees such as Project Managers, Engineers, Designers and CAD Techs. Only Senior Level Management is rewarded with recognition and compensation. While the above mentioned positions do all the research, engineering and work late hours to meet project deadlines. Favouritism is definitely apparent here and shown to certain employees, typically those that play Hockey, Golf and go to Pubs after work. Senior Level Management typically does not acknowledge you unless something needs to be done rush or if an error has occurred on a project.

Pros

- working alongside very smart people - working with a lot of people who are very friendly - company hosts fun days at the office

Cons

- only care about the bottom line (which is obvious for most companies), but this is extremely clear - always compare you to others who do better - little support to help you grow--you have to do it yourself - expect to get thrown under the bus...managers don't take responsibility if you mess up - high turnover rate

Pros

get paid overtime, smart people, benefits ok--could be better

Cons

I'm a junior and I got thrown under the bus multiple times by management. It's a sink or swim mentality--little to no support knowing that I'm new to this type of work. I got yelled at, received nasty emails, anything but constructive feedback to help me become a better engineer. Managers/employees don't respect your meeting times that you set up in advance--they show up late, forget, or reschedule/cancel last minute. Gossip happens a lot in the office--from poor performance of their peers to someone's physical appearance like their weight--probably that's more important than helping. They use dated technology (desktop computers, square monitors) with IT monitoring your every move and they will message you as soon as you do something wrong (even as a mistake) and accuse you of not following their rules. The level of trust at this company is very low. If you need to do work overtime, you have to do it at the office because if you try to remote in, it's so slow and you can barely get work done. Turnover is very high.
