Ride 'til You Die

Pros

Lots of career opportunities, very high expectations from some positions which challenges you to look at things from a high-level perspective

Cons

It's literally "ride 'til you die" type of work. No one measures the workload and no one really cares whether you're overworked or stressed or burnt-out because the managers themselves are on the verge of collapse, nervous breakdown or just honestly don't care. They will stuff you like a duck with innumerable tasks until you can't take it any more. But hey, try to put on a happy face, we're a team after all.

Pros

Competitive and comprehensive benefits package, far above the industry average for Eastern European companies Talented and supportive development teams: testers, designers, artists, and developers are a pleasure to work with Financial compensation is strong, especially compared to regional standards

Cons

Project assignment can make or break your experience — legacy projects often suffer from outdated management and resistance to change Very poor process management: leadership believes processes exist, but in reality, they are either dysfunctional or completely absent High turnover: employees are frequently burned out and replaced rather than supported or developed Toxic hierarchical culture: decision-making is top-down, and questioning orders is often unwelcome Lack of professional growth in leadership: many managers and producers grew within the company from junior roles, resulting in narrow perspectives and weak strategic vision HR-originated PMs often lack the skills to create balance between team and upper management Mistakes are not treated as learning opportunities — blame is assigned rather than focusing on solutions or prevention Feels more like working in a rigid government institution than in a modern, agile IT company Frequent unpaid overtime is normalized and expected — working late or on weekends is treated as part of the job, not an exception Emotional and mental toll is significant — "one year here feels like three"

Pros

Loved the job and perks

Cons

You wont get anywhere unless you know Russian, I think they just employ Irish based staff to make up their numbers for having head office here. There is no real interest in progression for Irish workers and they don't seem to fully understand Irish work laws as HR issues are dealt with by Russian based workers
