I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Tones of brilliant, high skilled engineers to work with - One of the highest pay package and benefits in the market - Great culture and open door policy - Well.. you can't call it startup anymore, yet you can always jump where you want as long you are capable of doing so, there is always room for growing, just pass the doors

    Cons

    - A lot of negative vibes comes for those who can't set their frequencies with the culture, (you really need to do something about those) - No work-life balance, always busy and work load is always high - Although most of the support team are expats, there is no work from home policy, although they keep pretending to have one - Snacks and drinks are below the basic - HR, definitely need to get reconstructed

    Advice to Management

    - HQ need to keep a closer eye on Amsterdam office, please get to be sure that things are done in Palo Alto way not anyone else's way - Keep gathering feedback, it works :)

I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great product and brand recognition

    Cons

Used to be a hire from within place with a great culture. New management doesnt seem to have a great grasp of what we do and culture has overall gone downhill. Pay isnt great and people are constantly left in the dark

    Advice to Management

Work on keeping this a place that people want to show up to

    Pros

Extraordinarily smart folks; lack of hubris in the culture; phenomenal products; growing at the speed of light! The new leadership is bringing changes which are going to make it a more sustainable business. Let us go with this speed, and keep growing folks!

    Cons

We need to just hang on to the beautiful culture that this place has had.

I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Most people really like the company and believe in the mission (Go Palo Alto Networks!) - Super nice and brand new HQ campus in Santa Clara with cafeteria, gym, juice bar, coffee house, etc - Definitely going places in the stock market - Industry leading/cutting edge product

    Cons

    - Too much cronyism - Most upper management in Marketing go wayyyy back, and it shows - The "disappearing act" - you'll just never see coworkers again and it won't be acknowledged - If they don't like you, you won't get fired, you will just be given 0 recognition, 0 bonuses, and talked bad about until you leave (even if you work 80 hour weeks)

    Advice to Management

Grow some balls and fire people you don't like. Don't hire your children... The CMO's SON WORKS IN THE SAME DEPARTMENT???

I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

MS Office is still around until the end of July 2019 Folks at lower levels are a pleasure to work with and genuinely care about the company

    Cons

Huge con is GSuite and the folks who made the decision to force it upon employees Senior management increasingly is stuck up, political, out of touch, and has created a 'Hunger Games' type of working environment New Operations SVP wants nothing less than to gut Sales Ops and turn it into an expense cost center rather than true partner to Sales

    Advice to Management

Stop pandering to the rich stuck up folks from Google and Uber and pay attention to the people who really make the company tick every day.

    Positive Outlook
    No Opinion of CEO

I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - fun team / people - treated like human being - lots of learning and growth opportunities - good compensation

    Cons

    - very busy (can be plus or minus. time flies, but stress can be high at times) - sometimes can seem a bit unstructured

    Advice to Management

keep going on the road forward to improvement. it's too busy, but there's light at the end of the tunnel. make sure we get to that light at some point though. Joy to work ,but life != work and that balance could be more ideal. (perhaps better work-from-home policies would already go a long way)

I have been working at Palo Alto Networks full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company culture has been phenomenal. The benefits are great and the pay is really good.

    Cons

The recent focus on diversity is a little distracting. The recent moves internally have been less than desirable. (MS office is better than the home user stuff that we are on now)

    Advice to Management

Stop worrying about ethnicity in hiring; just hire the best person for the job!
