I have been working at Pacific Dental Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Completely Depends on The Owner Dentist. Can be an incredible opportunity/experience or a poor one. They will invest a ton into their teams. No matter what you will learn how to talk to patients and get treatment acceptance.

    Cons

Hours are offset and if you’re with a young team it can be tough teaching dental assistants, that comes with the territory though.

I have been working at Pacific Dental Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - traveling is fun you get to meet many different people - specialty bonuses and mileage pay -learn a lot

    Cons

    - can become difficult since you work with many doctors, remembering each docs style -some offices have a sour apple either a doctor, an assistant, or a manager, so it makes it unpleasant to visit that office - hours and inconsistent schedule

I have been working at Pacific Dental Services full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Is a job that pays bills. Is that is what you need They are always hiring! Take a while guess why !

    Cons

managers are extremely condescending do not want to hear what you have to say. All they care about is money, money and did I mention money.! Late hours and frequently no lunches They always talk about how important you are. Come to realize that yes ! You are important but to stay late and finish that last crown or 2 Upper management don’t care about the employees either. You see them once in a while and... don’t even say hello. The look at you up and down and keep on walking. But as soon as they see one of the doctors. Oh my god, they want to give them their first born. No opportunities to move up. Because they need assistants so bad. That once you start as an assistant, they don’t want to let you grow and move up. No work life balance. They work you to dead

I worked at Pacific Dental Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Steep dental discount 401k Volunteer hours Vacation hours Sick pay Good salary Life insurance

    Cons

Healthcare has high deductibles and copays. Don't get it if you want to live! Communication lacking from supervisors and managers. FAVORITISM- those who have a strong work ethic are worked to the bone while those who schmooze with the supervisors don't need to follow rules. Only applies to revenue operations center employees (ROC). ROC coworkers do not get along, everyone is in cliques. Moving up is close to... impossible (unless you are a favorite).

    Advice to Management

Figure out how you can communicate better with employees and crack down on policies. Rules are meant for everyone, even your favorites. This creates interpersonal conflict with other coworkers!

    Cons

Company does not pay employees when work is cancelled due to natural disasters.

    Advice to Management

Train employees first at an office that is not as busy and then transfer them to the main office afterwards.
