I've seen many account executives get ready to close big deals which they worked on for 12-18 months and right before closing they were laid off. Millions of dollars of contracts were then scooped up by the team lead who is a friend of the family. This is a friends and family kind of business, so don't think that it won't happen, the question is "when it will happen" that they will let you go for their own desire to keep the revenue to themselves.

They use "family" environment a lot but its not. CEO and senior management monitor your office activities(who you talk to, when you come to office/leave, internet and corporate email). Although they have grown in number of employees, they behave like a tiny company. SVP and Director of Sales control everything. Account exec have no real authority or control. Whatever they say about flexible environment during interview process is not correct. Also do not believe what Sales management says potential for commissions.
