Pros

Lots of Pros if you are apart of the chosen few. White men of a certain faith seem to have all the benefits and all the leeway. Great company culture for them. Weekly spiritual luncheon and very friendly towards each other, ability to work from home, have multiple vacay days, and be ineffective in their actual jobs. They also tend to not work on Friday. Technically they are here for a half day but that is rarely the case. Nine months out of the year the select few are mostly gone on Friday. They even have a summer party just for them! It's unfortunate because the owners perception is that they are generous, and they are, to that select group. The owners proudly say you get all the Jewish Holidays but that doesn't really help if you aren't jewish- you are just home on a random day. The chosen few usually take off the days surrounding any holidays because they seemingly have endless PTO days

Cons

If you are not in that select group things are frustrating. You will most definitely be under valued, under paid and under appreciated. The "benefits" are bare minimum at best. The pay doesn't come close to competitive. Many outside of the select few are dismissed. The owners do not trust any of their staff (says more about them then the staff) The non- chosen folks have to work on Friday come in early all week to offset leaving "early" on Friday (early is 5 pm wooo) Frequently since the chosen are OOO work goes unanswered or slows down during jewish holidays and on Friday. WE do not have endless PTO we have 8 days... good luck planning any thing or getting sick. During National holidays we usually work and then we will get an email mid day saying they are letting us leave "early" The office is open christmas eve, good friday, and most bank holidays. Its a shame because many of the employees are kind and fun but this is the place for your career and ability to afford a social life to die.

Pros

2-3 good managers and several hardworking individuals. Paid Jewish holidays. You get Benefits and a 401K plan.

Cons

Even though they are 2-3 good managers, most of the management got and are keeping their jobs because they are the same religion or friends of the owners, even though they are horrible at their jobs. The mentality here is that men are smarter than the women creating a toxic, negative environment. They want the females to act completely passive and just wait for instructions from the men. The very few hardworking employees they have, they have no respect for. They look down on them and just give them the work of the lazier employees. They pander and cater to their lazy employees. They spend more time trying to be their friends, instead of just getting rid of them. They have a different set of rules based on who they favor. If they like you, they will sweep any of your wrongdoings under the rug, and they will sabotage and lie about other employees to the owners to make the ones they favor look good. Regardless of attitude and work ethic, they only invest in the people they favor, so unless you’re one of their favorites, there’s no growth or development here at all. You’re expected to just do the job you were given and not want anything more. They act like they are inclusive, but they only want certain ethnicities working for them, especially in their Art Department. They’ll find some way to fire you (without warning) and replace you with the ethnicity they really want. Even though they claim it’s against company policy, sexual harassment, bullying, and verbal abuse do happen here. As long as it’s not anti-Semitic, and you’re not African-American, you can say anything and keep your job and that does include derogatory and racist remarks. Inappropriate behavior and relationships between co-workers/managers is accepted here. Stealing from co-workers is acceptable too. If you mention any of this they laugh it all off and act like you’re expected to treat it as normal behavior. If you report any of this stuff, they will fire you. This place has a high turnover rate - especially the Art Department- so don’t waste your time learning names.
