Pros

You are not alone. Everyone at the company is miserable and has no respect for leadership.

Cons

I cancelled my first interview with this company after reading the Glassdoor reviews, and my goodness do I wish I followed my gut and not let the recruiter and company convince me that they've "changed" and everyone writing the negative reviews were just angry-disgruntaled people. This company is run by a dysfunctional family that can't even treat their own family members with respect, so you can only image how they treat their employees. First red flag was being made to take a grammar and spelling test during my interview. They make hard working, kind and talented people feel like failures. They take no responsibility for their own mistakes and everything you do is wrong. They have no business being in any type of management role in their lives. They think that it is a privilege to be in their presence and demand you to respect them but will treat you with 0. I was told by someone with no experience in her life with marketing tell me how to do my job when I have been a professional for 13 years. Everything I created, the 1st draft, had to be perfect. When I told her that is not how the creative process worked and if she wanted it "perfect" then she would at least have to sit with me before hand to explain what she was picturing. To that she said "NO! Thats your job, not mine”. Disappointingly, my boss did not have the courage to stand up to these people and tell them to stay in their own lane, so I got the boot. They are bullies, and if one person does not like you, you will lose your job, even if everyone else loves you and you do great work. There is also bullying in the office which I witnessed and saw one manager do nothing but defend then bully and fire the victim. You are not safe there, and there is no room for growth or any kind of bonus's. I honestly could go on and on, and its such a shame because I really did enjoy the people I worked with, and was happy for awhile, until leadership showed their true colors and it became horrible. Some employees were even called stupid to their face. It is only a matter of time before the company collapses and everyone knows it. Please trust every negative review on here, and run away from this place, they are not worth your energy or time.

Pros

The only positive I can truly mention is that somehow they have attracted some great employees over the years, although these people never stay.

Cons

The main issue with any family-owned business is when the family is not in harmony, it shows. And this family is very dysfuntional. Family members are hired in various leadership roles that they clearly are not capable of handling. The owners are older people that think they have a pulse on the industry, but they do not and they refuse to allow the younger set to help bring them into the present and future because they preceive that as giving up control. A lot of business comes from old connections, rather than new ones, because the company is run in a very out-dated fashion regarding policies, technology, and procedures. The salaries are low compared to other agencies in the industry and benefits consist of just the basics. When I was there, we went multiple years without even a cost-of-living salary increase. You are expected to work overtime without compensation and comp time is hoarded like it's somehow costing the President her personal money. It sems like there is a revolving door at this company since so many people quit. The steady line walking out is flabbergasting.
