Pros

Great benefits (top tier benefits, low employee cost). Work/Life balance is also great. The ability to work remote was a huge benefit to many of the employees. People appreciated this schedule and never took advantage of it, however in some instances, it was frowned upon as some management were not used to this style. The Legacy people are great to work it. Anyone is willing to help out where ever possible. Help/assistance was always available. It didn't matter what country you were working in, raise your hand for help and people would answer the call. Career paths were laid out and help was always there to move you towards your goal. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with.

Cons

This company was formed based on the "core" people from where they came. It was created, not cause of the portfolio/technology that came with them, but through the dedication, hard work and talent of each person. We were told, "We didn't purchase this group from XXXX we invested in the people." That echoed throughout the beginning and it was a great feeling that company would take a chance on the people that made this group. Due to an apparent over sight, the statement above lost all meaning & ton of jobs were lost. A re-organization structure was put in place and many positions eliminated. The situation could have definitely been handled better and the cold shoulder many received after you got "the call", definitely left bad taste in some peoples mouth. From a Business stand point, I understand why some of the decisions were made, however it could have been handled better.

Pros

We were able to work remotely

Cons

Executive management doesn’t understand the business well, so their decisions cause a lot of damage to the company’s ability to provide good service to clients. Every important resource has been cut. Training, staffing, incentives, admin support, sales, R&D, marketing, advertising, tech upgrades. Some of these were eliminated completely. There was never a recognition program. Some members of executive management also do not have a positive view of employees, so they have a punishing and insulting kind of mentality. It spreads to lower level managers too, then they think it’s ok to be mean to their employees. Lots of unhealthy internal competition between colleagues and solution lines.
