Pros

The building is a lovely building One or two genuinely nice people

Cons

Even after being forced out in a deliberate and humiliating manner I still suffer from nightmares today. it's clear to see that the positive reviews are written by the CEO after seeing the negative ones. This is her style. I remember her reaction when she sent out the staff survey and was angry that people told the truth about what they thought of the company. You could not complete the staff employment survey anonymously, which gave her power. For me she felt threatened by young women and and if you were a female with children, your days were numbered. I dreaded any emails coming from the CEO. Imagine sitting at your desk, heart beating, stressed out as soon as received an email, fearful of of ridicule or criticism. and certain members of staff looked down on me because of my race and working class background. If you dare to speak out, you will suddenly find yourself being monitored for mistakes and then labelled as performing poorly and then put under investigation. The year I was there the CEO sacked 5 people on the spot, who were then thrown off the premises. The CEO would often rant at you, should you do something human, like make a mistake. At the time I was there the CEO was also HR. i spent days crying, miserable and alone. Even though it was years ago, the hurt and pain still remains, how the CEO and a particular employee nearly destroyed my life, In this company you will never get a second chance if you struggle or have any personal issues. They will tear you up.

We take all constructive feedback on board and are keen to look for ways to improve our workplace, so that we can attract and retain great talent. However, for this and similar reviews that are wholly untrue, hateful and trolling, our response is for the benefit of other readers. Given the very well publicised shortage of skills, it is obvious that people can chose the company that they work for and will quickly move onto another job, without much difficulty or drama, if unfairly treated. When we are required very occasionally to investigate and legitimately act on issues resulting from misconduct, we appreciate that this may result in retaliation and anonymous, negative posts on Glassdoor. In this particular case, we received from various concerned members of staff (not just one person, as is claimed in this review) reports of repeated instances of misconduct and also persisting under performance. These allegations were investigated and found to be true and significant. We understandably acted on this, doing so in a professional, respectful manner and as discretely as the challenging circumstances allowed because the person became verbally and physically abusive. We work hard to ensure that people enjoy working here and want to stay. We have a very multicultural and diverse workplace and foster a positive, inclusive environment where people feel respected, trusted, empowered and supported. The vast majority of people value and appreciate that, welcome the professional responsibility and opportunities offered, and can be entrusted with the flexibility and freedoms given to them. Informed consistently produces great work and wins so many prestigious awards because our people are motivated and inspired to learn, collaborate, problem solve and achieve together. On the company's website and Twitter feed, our people happily share their views and personal experiences about working at Informed, so please do look at those to help you form a balanced opinion. Stressful

Pros

Most of the people at Informed are good people, some in managerial positions can be petty or overly dictatorial but for the most part everyone is making the best of a bad situation. Training - this job gave me a genuine leg up in my career and I was taught a lot, but this is due to having a decent team to work with rather than informed as a whole.

Cons

Incredibly high turn over - People will be let go with out warning, your favorite person in finance might be there one day gone the next. Half are jumping ship, half are being fired either under thin pretext or because of problems with work emerge under stress/overwork. Overly structured - Everything operates in an highly structured manner, if you are applying for a graduate position prepared to be dragged over the coals repeatedly throughout the year. Stress - small issues are blown out of proportion, mistakes are dwelt upon and pressure for perfection incredibly high. There is little to no praise given for work well done. Workload - Workloads can be poorly managed, people regularly work late out of necessity for no benefit, the high turn over means another person's workload may be shifted to you at short notice. CEO - Everyone, including senior managers are afraid of her. It's apparent in the gallows humor " every time she comes back from Australia someone gets fired" . It's clear everyone fears a "coaching session" which is like being sat down in primary school and talked to at length and repeatedly about things often outside your control. Company culture and ethos - Informed projects an outward image of immaculate modern professionalism but the inconsistency between this image and the actual company is stark. Management styles from the 70's, poor organisation, poor work life balance and a work force that is highly over worked.

I read with interest your comments on Informed Solutions and your image isn’t one that our people share or recognise. When people apply to join us, we take great care to explain that the Company’s business is to deliver business critical and complex innovation projects for clients. Necessarily, this means that we have a high performance workplace culture. Our leaders aim to empower and coach their people, so everyone is motivated, can use their initiative, contribute to a high standard and they are able to play to their strengths at work - whoever they are and whatever role they have on the team. Our staff find Informed a great place to work with excellent opportunities to learn from their talented colleagues, be trained up in market leading skills, undertake varied and interesting work, and take on additional responsibility as they progress. The Global CEO is passionate about this in addition to equal opportunities, diversity, well-being and people development and works across a number of industry initiatives on these issues, so she can positively influence within Informed and contribute to the conversation on a national level. She has the respect and loyalty of our staff. You will find additional information on our website, as well as our staff sharing their personal journeys of professional and personal development at Informed Solutions. AWFUL place to work!! Avoid at all costs

Pros

There are a handful of lovely people who work there.

Cons

Informed Solutions is an absolutely AWFUL place to work. It’s frowned upon if you arrive at 9:00 and frowned upon if you also leave on time. They work you into the ground and could not give a damn. The CEO is absolutely terrifying. Every time she calls you into her office you thought you were going to be fired and if you were able to survive the chop, she’d lecture you on how you’re not good enough at your job. In fact, I never saw anyone receive any praise from her. The company is stuck in the dark ages. Don’t work here if you expect flexitime, the ability to work from home, early finishes on Fridays, dress down Fridays, good holiday allowances, private medical care etc. You’ll get none of that here. Another thing I noticed was that none of the women who worked in the company had children. Coincidence? I don’t think so. So if you have children, again don’t work here, because you’ll never have time to see them. The staff turnover is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Considering they are a small company it is horrifying to see people being fired every 6 weeks or so. The pay is ok, but the stress, lack of support, lack of good leadership and poor benefits package certainly outweigh anything good about the company. Avoid at all costs!!!

I’m sorry to hear that there were few positives about working for Informed Solutions and to read your comments regarding our employee benefits. We work hard to give our people a voice on these important matters, both formally and informally, and as a result offer market leading salaries and performance related bonuses, paid sabbaticals, enhanced private medical cover for the employee and their families, matched pension and flexibility regarding working hours. These are in addition to free parking, regular social events and fantastic office spaces and staff facilities in all of our offices. We will continue to encourage our people to feedback on our benefits offering and adapt this to their professional and personal requirements. We aim to offer a flexible salary and benefits package, as we have five generations of employees and our remuneration offerings have to be inclusive for all. You’ve clearly not had a good experience with us and if you would like to discuss this further please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your comments and we wish you all the best in your future role. Sally Cross, Personnel and Professional Development Services
