Poor leadership and management

Pros

Pay is still reasonable so far although they think they are still paying 'world class' salary as compared to outside world.

Cons

Delayed promotions which can last as long as 4 to 5 years or even infinite who knows when and why. Not giving increments for the past 2 years stating due to covid and not earning even though they are already big in the earning, world class. Trying to cut back on performance bonus for these past 2 years even though now back in earning, world class. Keeps rotating people around roles making you confuse what job you actually applied for. Not everyone is interested in day work and definitely not interested in office hour work hours. Lots of pointless Developmental Assignments claiming to improve on your skill set but end day just making use of you to do more jobs of other crafts and still giving you the same pay grade. Poor management who is always thinking to score point but does not give welfare to their team but just using them as workhorses. Leaders act as if they are open to feedbacks and listening ear but end day is just crap, whatever you feedback they will just ask you to resolve it on your own.

Pros

Decent pay, 401K match, pension if you stay long enough

Cons

There is currently a mandate to PIP 5-8% of salary workers per year to cull headcount. Technical jobs are slowly being transferred to Malaysia and India. If you are interest in a technical career this is not the place for you. Lots of red tape required to get anything useful done. People are afraid to make decisions to make changes, even if it improves profitability Lots of BS work, meetings about nonsense, group meetings, safety meetings LPS stewardship, meeting before the meeting. Constantly answering questions from multiple managers asking the same questions over and over. Most engineers spend their time building power point and doing stewardship and no real value added engineering work. Most employees are out for themselves and not interested in helping you due to PIP culture. Team work is not recognized due to ranking system.

Pros

I struggle to think of any.

Cons

Performance assessment system is inverted. The most capable people strike fear into their supervisor, who gives them a low ranking. Repeat this process every year, and what is the result?
