Pros
60-75% off product Two free workout classes/week Lifelong friends made from working with like minded people Opportunity to connect with community (studio owners/other athletes/inspiring people) At the end of the day, the company is trying to create a good vibe and culture but ends up with unhappy employees (in my case anyway)
Cons
after 6 months it became stressful. There is a lot of pressure to workout at certain places that can be a 40 minute drive away from your house and you’re unpaid for that time, so that is a big investment in time and money especially if you’re a student. There seems to be a lack of consideration if you have a personal life and want work life balance-there is an expectation that you attend community events unpaid. A lot of pressure to help meet stores $ daily goals. It is fun to have workouts paid for to attend with work colleges but they aren’t really free at the end of the day-there are things expected of you (unpaid time at events ect). If you want a job where you can leave and come home and forget about it until your next shift and it’s only a portion of your life-not for you. If you want a stressful job, pressure to be places on your day off 40 mins drive away non paid, it’s for you. Also promises that you can move up in the company and be involved in more when you never do. I felt like I couldn’t say ‘no’, without being ‘punished’ in Some way (hours lost or possibility of moving up gone) all because I didn’t want to spend my day off working. There is so much talk about the comanies values however not much room for a stress free life whilst working there. Always made to feel like your efforts weren’t good enough even though you had loyal customers that loved you. Toward the end of my employment so many of my colleagues were unhappy at work but felt like they couldn’t tell management.
