Growth:
- people have been with the company for many years (10+)
- good at keeping good people
- a fair number started in entry-level or admin and have either moved up into different departments or are now in management
People:
- Fantastic group of people to work alongside (very friendly and supportive)
Culture:
- been able to maintain "family" feel, despite rapid growth in recent years
Bonus:
- community-minded (including a day off for charity initiative for staff)
- regular non-work social activities (both inside and outside of the office)
- wellness program
- annual retreat outside of Vancouver which includes Staff, Associates & Exec
- Exec make an effort to appreciate and acknowledge staff
Cons
I've been with the company for many years and don't have many negative things to say about ZLC. I think generally, working toward and focusing on diversity and women in leadership is the catalyst for innovation and business success.
