Pros

You get a paycheck, grant it, it’s below industry standards. And health insurance. Good PTO if you can tough it out for 10 years.

Cons

Management really takes the joy out of the job. I swear the ideas they come up with are from random Google Searches. For example, Miller Heiman call model. For some people, having these structured call formats may work, but for others it does not. What ever happened to just having a conversation to discuss client needs? They expect you to uncover a clients overall financial situation with a 15 minute call. They say they want us to learn about the client but all they seem to worry about is average handle time. They also claim crew have spoken and want to return to the office. The crew they are referring to are not client facing. They don’t deal with the day to day stress.

Pros

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Cons

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.
