Action packed, every day is different, paid travel, best LE training in the world, ability to transfer duty locations, agency arrests on average 75k-100k violent individuals with less than 5k personnel.
Cons
Extremely dangerous, difficult on marriages and home life, policy changes with administrations, DC, NY and some rural locations are less than desirable for new hires and don't give an accurate picture of the job, hence the reviews you see about being a "jailer" or correctional officer. Not an accurate depiction. Same locations can have toxic management.
