      Great atmosphere and tech, but leadership caused turmoil - Software Engineer The Very Group Employee Review

      Pros

      When it lasted it was a really lovely place to work, worked on state of the art tech, in a supportive atmosphere that made it a joy to come to work. Then it quickly changed. The compensation was poor. The culture changed making you want to constantly look behind your shoulder. Opportunities froze up. Management started to view tech staff as leeches. Colleagues that remained said that in the last year nothing has improved, and continued to go downhill.

      Cons

      A young CTO came in and gutted the engineering workforce. TUPEd us all and offshored our work. He is not a nice man. Viewed the tech staff as dispensable, even though he was leading us, and should have led as our proud leader, instead of holding disdain for his team.

      Pros

      The people at Very are all ambitious which creates a great culture! The hybrid working model allows flexibility so you can split your time across the office and working from home.

      I can't think of any!
