Pros

I love the property, the lobby is beautiful and full of natural light.

Cons

Unfortunately we are pretty short-staffed and much of our staff has little to no experience, making it difficult to handle all tasks.

Pros

The reason I have worked at the Inverness for so long is that I love the people I work with. I think hospitality people are fun in general but the people at the Inverness really can feel like family. There are ups and there are downs just like in any business/environment but overall everyone has the same goal and tries to have fun while doing it - and that is providing great customer service.

Cons

Colorado is experiencing extremely low unemployment right now which makes filling open positions tougher than usual. So while some departments are short staffed, management is doing everything they can to fill those to relieve some of the pressure off current staff.

Pros

the location was beautiful and has so much potential

Cons

This place loves to talk about work life balance and how important that is to them as a company when in reality most front line employees and managers are expected to work way more than average, even for hospitality- This is probably because they also like to run on little to no staff. HR is a joke; they like to pretend to hear problems before brushing them under the rug and acting like they never heard them in the first place. There always seemed to be a double standard for the sales team from upper management. Sales team was put on a pedestal even though half the time they were in their 'zen den' watching wedding videos and sitting on Pinterest. I believe that most managers were expected to work 50+hours a week, however sales managers were only ever there MAYBE 40 hours. The entire executive committee is so far removed from what was actually going on at the hotel and how unhappy most employees were that it was embarrassing that they were our leaders. I am sure most of these positive reviews are from current employees who are getting some sort of incentive out of writing a good review.
