Pros
Nothing really - the employees OTHER THAN MANAGEMENT were all nice people. We would often have meetings talking about how terrible management was and how terribly the company was being fun, but other than that there is nothing positive to say.
Cons
Wow where to start! First off, definitely the MOST TOXIC, GREEDY + CORRUPT company I have and hopefully will ever work for. The company was run similar to how I imagine the mafia or any large gang is run, but at least there is some structure to the mafia + large street gangs. Here are the most glaring negative aspects about TALENTHERDER: -Founder has numerous toxic tendencies (incapable of feeling compassion) + is the GREEDIEST person I have personally ever met - All that mattered to the CEO/founder was earning MORE MONEY, no matter the cost to his employees or the TOXIC + CORRUPT tactics he would employ to increase his profits -Founder/management LIED THROUGH THEIR TEETH to potential clients to get them to sign a contract and pay him MORE MONEY. - Not a single one of our clients knew the truth about how our company was run and the actual work that we did for them but if they did they would absolutely never want to work with us. - Employees were basically forced to keep up with the WEB of LIES created by the founder in order to not let the clients know how our business functioned + the work we were actually doing because if clients did know they would immedaitely end the partnership and likely report us. -For example, my first three months I had to pretend I was at least 5 different people when answering emails or talking to candidates on the phone which was CRAZYYYYYYYYY. I literally would call up candidates to interview them and have to lie to them about my name throughout the entire 30 min. conversation. - Literally every employee that I had a relationship with is MASSIVELY OVERWORKED + UNDERPAID (on average I probably worked right around 60-70 hours per week + was paid well below industry average) - The founder has complete control of the company + makes all the decisions - Other managers were constantly making promises that they would remove the founder from the business operations side of things because he was detrimental in so many ways, but it was clear they had no control over him and could do nothing to distance him from the company - Since my 1st day at the company this was a frequent topic discussed by the employees, but I worked there for close to a year and a half and it was worse by the time I quit than when I started (and it was frigtheningly bad when I started) -Founder constantly lied to his employees on our daily/weekly meetings promising us equity in the company or setting up some type of fair bonus structure, but it became clear that was just a tactic to keep people from quitting and would never actually happen. -Other management hid behind the excuse that they simply couldn't control the founder and none of the toxic things happening at the company were their fault -Everyone employee that I spoke w/ from the company hated working at TALENTHERDER which made for a very depressing company culture -You don't actually learn how to do anything properly because everything the company does is so SKETCHY + SHADY so most of what I learned I will have to unlearn before working in my next recruiting position -The way management treats their employees is absolutely DESPICABLE! We were not seen as human beings as much as we were seen as expendable objects that would make the founder more money. - In the time I was working there I would say the average employee tenure was approx. 3-6 months with very few people surviving for over a year. - SOOOOO many employees were laid off or quit throughout the 15 months I was working there -Employees that were laid off were done so without any warning and were never put on a performance improvement plan prior to being laid off. I could literally go on with these negatives forever, but these are the main ones that popped up into my head. FOR YOUR OWN SAKE PLEASE DO NOT WORK AT THIS COMPANY! IT WAS THE WORST CAREER DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE!
