Pros

People working there are very knowledgeable and nice to work with. There was a time when the company was smaller and a lot more fun to work at though but it's still ok. The office is pretty nice and very conveniently located. You will get to know a lot of people while working at sweetiq because so many come and go. Work life balance is good, at least on the dev side.

Cons

The founders are penny pinchers and it trickles down through the company. As someone else has said, if you need something to do your job, good luck getting it approved. It's easier to go buy it yourself and hope you'll get it expensed in a few months. Most (all?) of the curation team is hired as contractors to save a few $$$, avoid paying them vacation time, keeping them off the company's insurance and to keep them in a precarious state where they wont get employment insurance if they're fired. This is wrong and illegal but only the contractors can make a complaint to the labor board. Turnover is pretty high because this is not a nice place to work at. Management/founders think they are above of everyone else and only come out of their corner office to tell people they're not doing a good job. Friends don't let friends work at SweetIQ.

Pros

Flexible hours. Great colleagues. Managers that care about your personal growth and well being. Has a growing remote culture.

Cons

Being a remote employee can be hard at times but the company is actively working on better strategies to make it easier on remote employees.

Pros

I really enjoyed my time at SweetIQ. They were very flexible regarding WFH versus at the office, I felt supported in many ways and my colleagues were really great.

Cons

Salary was not very appealing or competitive.
