I personally don't have any notable complaints. It's a complex role that includes everything from early concept design work to highly technical QA tasks. For some it may be too fluid but others would enjoy the versatility and variety of exploring multiple design and development avenues.

The internal Storm8 team was great. Management really cared about the product and how people on the team were doing. Opportunities were available for 2d artists to learn new skills like 3d modeling in Maya and Unity implementation. Overall culture was friendly and collaborative.

Storm8 is owned by Stillfront. Over time Stillfront became more involved with company operations, leading to significant cost cutting measures like taking over HR/finance, handing over art production to their other studios overseas, and laying off the majority of the internal US-based team.
