Pros

We've got an excellent marketing team at Stonebridge College based in the Birmingham office and our friends down in Bude office consisting of web developers, creative designers, social media experts and content writers. Hardworking individuals who are passionate about their job and go beyond their means to deliver results in a fast paced environment. We work hard as a team and spread the workload amongst the group to make sure we deliver the best possible results for our company. Personally I'm so happy in my role. The company is the best to work for, my team are truly wonderful and my Marketing Director and CEO are experts in what they do so no better people to learn from. In simple terms I love it here and I want to play a big part in helping my company reach all it's targets and succeed.

Cons

For me there are no cons!!! Long hours but that comes with the territory (Head of Digital) and I'm not complaining!! The more hours I put in increases my overall knowledge of the business which in return allows me to fully understand all elements of the company making me the 'Top Gun' standard that's expected at Stonebridge.

Pros

The office is only a few blocks from the beach. Salaries are higher than most companies in the area. If you are assertive enough, they may give you opportunities to develop your role and skills. Work/life balance is very good and the majority of the staff are helpful.

Cons

The company is owned and led by a local family who use their wealth for power. They are bottom-line oriented, and they lie to their customers to get more money. They treat their staff poorly and they manipulate people to get their way. You cannot trust them and they are intolerant of any sick leave. If the directors don't like you, they will make your life hell. The directors are micro-managers and there are no benefits other than decent salaries and statutory holidays. It's a toxic, negative environment to work in.
