Pros
Interesting technology. Great mid-level management and interdepartmental culture. Fun company outings and teambuilding exercises, except for the Squid Games themed shoot-each-other companywide event in 2020 which was really sinister. The original CEO who started the company is a great guy.
Cons
Awful overall company culture as a result of CEO in 2021. I was in tears from the shouting and desk-slamming. It screamed substance abuse and was frankly terrifying at times. The CEO would demand lower level employees market incorrect information about products’ approval for medical use, which is illegal. Knowing it was wrong but against immense pressure, employees would scramble to fulfill the CEO’s wishes to spread misinformation about the product’s medical clearance as quickly as possible, only to have all their work thrown away when the legal department rightfully stepped in. Aside from this, there was quite a bit of sexual misconduct and badmouthing of other employees and industry professionals which led to an overall miserable and threatening work environment.
I can only hope there’s been a change at the top, I left and never looked back. The biggest unresolvable issue with Stilla Technologies is that they are headquartered in Paris and 80%+ of the company speaks French, leading to a lack of culture and no ability to contribute for non-French-speaking employees. Why even hire non-French-speaking employees?
Stilla has a nonexistent medical leave policy, which affected a hardworking member of our team in a heartbreaking way. Despite asking for answers and reforms, HR never delivered or even bothered to respond.
