      Pros

      Slingshot is a great place to work. Is it perfect, no, but there aren’t many places where you can find such talented and hard-working people, such innovative and proven technologies, and such an opportunity to make the world (and our space environment) a better place.

      Cons

      Let’s be honest, 2023 was a tough year for tech companies in general, and for start-ups in particular. Nonetheless, Slingshot persevered and is in a much better place than it has ever been.

      Pros

      Super interesting and fulfilling work. Company has grown to overcome its hard financial past. Mostly transparency from the top down is good, frequent company open mics and opportunities to discuss with higher ups. Full time remote with no chance of a rug pull return to office mandate. I really enjoy my team.

      Cons

      I do wish the company would prioritize more ambitious R&D projects, facilitating collaboration across teams and departments.

      Remote work environment, interesting projects.

      Cons

      The engineering organization lacked structure and alignment. After applying for a full-time role, I was later informed that only one-year contract positions were available, indicating a lack of clarity in hiring practices.
