Pros

I had a positive experience working at SimplyEd overall. The interview process was as expected and straightforward, with clear communication throughout. I also completed trainings that helped me feel better prepared for the role before starting. The paperwork process was smooth and well organized, which made onboarding easy and stress-free. The CEO and the rest of the staff are friendly, supportive, and easy to work with. Communication within the team is good, and you can generally count on their support when needed. The pay is competitive compared to similar roles, which is definitely a strong point. Overall, this is a good position for college students and also a good opportunity if you’re looking to get into the teaching and education field, since it provides useful exposure and experience.

Cons

One downside is that the number of working hours can vary depending on where you are placed, so the schedule may not always be consistent. Most of the work is also concentrated during the school year (September through May), which means there may be limited or reduced hours outside of that period.

We appreciate the thoughtful feedback and are glad to hear that your experience reflected the kind of environment we aim to create. It’s especially meaningful to know the experience provided valuable exposure for someone interested in growing within the education field. We also appreciate the feedback regarding summer opportunities. While those opportunities are currently limited, in part because not all schools operate during the summer months, we are continuing to work toward creating as many opportunities as possible for our staff throughout the year.

Pros

Interview process and onboarding were straight forward and expectations are made clear. Staff is responsive to any issues that come up. As a new teacher I was given the opportunity to work in some different schools which was valuable and all my assignments were convenient to where I live.

Cons

It is not guaranteed you will have full 35-40 hr weeks.

Pros

From day one, Simply Ed gave me the trainings to excel in the classroom. They also provided all the additional information I needed to do my job well, such a shared sheet to write student’s progress notes. I was also able to form bonds with the students to the point of receiving comments that I was their favorite teacher at the school. The kids said they liked me but the work was challenging, which is a good sign. All the staff were approachable and immediately responded whenever I needed help. When I was having trouble in the classroom with students taking too long on assignments, Mr. Granda met with me to give me further coaching and guidance. On snow days, when I got stuck and had to be about 5-7 minutes late, or when I was sick (It was a paid sick day), Ms. Nieves was understanding and reached out to the staff of the school where I was working. Whenever I needed any administrative letters, Ms. Fred always made them available within less than 24 hours. I really appreciated working with Simply Ed and will be happy to be back the following school year.

Cons

I second the fact that there should be town hall meetings, where people learn from each other, maybe not every month but at least once a year or once a semester. These meetings or town halls should be paid for staff who are currently working and there should be awards for best work…something you can put on a resume or tell a future employer.
