      Small staff. Conveniently located on bus and metro Red line. Downtown Silver Spring. Lots of opportunity for career growth. You'll be able to learn a lot and increase your skills.

      Pros

      Wonderful members! Strong participation and involvement in volunteer chapters and divisions.

      Cons

      Current CEO (not David Biderman) who started in 2023 does not embody the SWANA values. She cultivates an environment of fear, unnecessary scrutiny, and blame. Environment with continual inconsistency resulting in a lack of focus on operations and follow-through since there are too few staff to do the work, and the direction and priorities are constantly changing. Overworked and understaffed with constant chaos.
