Company told me I had been selected for a position and never followed through - Anonymous employee SRA OSS Employee Review

After interviewing, I was offered a contract position with Fujitsu on Thurs evening and told to start on Mon. The agency tried to lower our agreed rate. Then they said they'd send the paperwork in the morning, and never did. When I emailed the hiring manager to tell him I couldn't start on Mon due to the delay, only then did they reply to tell me not to email them. They said they would talk to me on Mon. After no reply from them, I emailed them and asked what was going on. They told me someone else was now in the position around lunchtime. Very unethical! The hourly rate was also very low, with no benefits.
