Pros

Friendly Work Environment: - Everyone on staff made efforts to make me feel welcomed and included from day one. They have all worked together for over 10 years, and that contributes to a more open, casual work environment. Seasonal/Annual Events: - Probity heavily emphasizes client outreach and marketing, so company events are on point. To give an example, the annual "Fall Event" last year involved renting a floor of the Sixth Floor Museum. Internal events (eg: TopGolf) were always fun too. CFA/Continuing Education Support: - Almost everyone on both the investment management and financial planning teams are CFA or CFP charter-holders. Aside from financial support, Adam and Chris also helped me with a few concepts from my coursework.

Cons

A change in my family situation required me to make the move back to Florida this summer. While I can't speak for the my one-time coworker who wrote the other review here, I can say that I had no major issues working at Probity.

Pros

You get a lot of responsibility early.

Cons

Not a lot of formal training, but that is not a huge deal if you are a self-starter.

Pros

Probity Advisors gave me the knowledge transfer and flexibility needed as a first-year MBA candidate interested in pursuing a career in financial services. The team was great in having an open door policy and was always willing to help when needed. I also can't rave enough about how Probity has a client-first mentality which is what people should look for in a RIA. I look forward to staying in touch with the team after business school and beyond.

Cons

With no formal job description in place, it was tough to get a handle on metrics and benchmarks needed to gauge performance. But I knew that going into it, so it didn't affect my day-to-day activities.
