Direct manager's feedback style crossed professional boundaries into what felt emotionally abusive - public humiliation, contradictory directives, and comments that attacked competence rather than addressing specific work issues. Management displayed emotional volatility, making it difficult to gauge performance and feel psychologically safe. Performance improvement processes lacked clear, objective criteria and felt punitive rather than developmental. Concerns raised about workload, planning, and management approach were not adequately addressed by upper leadership. High-stress environment during major projects, with EM stress displaced onto team members.
