PageGroup Response
10yHi there, I’m sorry to hear about your perception of PageGroup. I would welcome the chance to discuss your experience with you and address any residual issues, as we are on a constant journey to excellence, and feedback of any kind is most welcome. Just to correct a couple of factual inconsistencies in your feedback;
- as you will see from our published results, we have run a very profitable business for many years and have never not paid out bonuses in ANZ due to investments in new markets such as India, which has indeed not failed, rather is an expanding team in a highly prospective emerging market
- staff turnover is nowhere near 80% and is declining significantly since our 2015 restructure that sees a rejuvenated and energised management team in place
To clarify, our lucrative discretionary bonus scheme is based on personal and team performance and is designed to over reward over achievement. We also pride ourselves on offering highly competitive base salaries and some of the best rewards in the industry; including comprehensive benefit programs, ‘High Flyers’ trips abroad for high achievers and regular company funded team social events.
Whilst it would appear your experience with the business was not positive, I would like to highlight that over the last 40 years the business has grown purely organically (i.e. without a single acquisition) from two consultants above a launderette in London to almost 6000 staff across 35 countries, which has only been achieved by hiring and retaining many of the best consultants in the industry (5,998 of them to be precise).
I myself joined PageGroup 19 years ago and have since worked in and managed businesses in Melbourne, Sydney, Dubai, Doha, Johannesburg, Casablanca and Paris and enjoyed a career path that none of our competitors locally or globally could dream of offering. I can assure you that I have enjoyed all of those 19 years and benefited greatly from them personally and professionally.
Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any further feedback. Thanks, Matt.
