Cons
If you're a great employee who gets your work done consistently, they often assign additional responsibilities without a pay increase & there is a lack of support with the increased workload. Long hours are not necessarily expected, but are the only way to handle the expectations of the position (thus, ruining any chance of a work/life balance). They consolidate positions & then force people to interview for their own job/to keep their employment at all (or make folks step down with a pay decrease due to the companie's decision to consolidate roles). This had occurred even to employees who had been with the company for 5-10yrs.
