Pros
-Nuspire is a great company to get 6 months to 2 years in at for exposure. After that, get out, don't drink the Koolaid -Co-workers -Training system / onboarding of new employees is being severely overhauled, which is a plus -PTO is easy to accrue and sometimes handed out randomly -Monthly and quarterly recognitions if you 'go above and beyond' which commonly results on extra PTO and an additional 'goodie' -End of quarter bonuses, if you complete the associated tasks needed (current management has tried their best to make these attainable so major props to them for this) -Certificate reimbursement, limited to 1 certificate per year (difficult to find list of approved certifications, some applicable certifications are not approved for no reason)
Cons
-There have been managerial/upper management, company vision, company direction, system reliability, staffing, work load, and incentive issues since day 1 -Over worked / underpaid (after attempts of 'truing-up' salaries, Nuspire still pays at least 20% less than the industry standard --Per my experience I have been paid on average 22% less than industry standard, that is the difference between $50,000/yr and $61,000/yr as an example, $11,000 difference in salary per year, let that sink in -Nuspire has no salary ranges or salary bands, which results in an entry level individual who was newly hired making just a few thousand dollars a year less than an individual who has been with the company for 5+ years and is at the highest possible level to be promoted without getting into a managerial role. -There have been countless changes (multi-organization restructures, department 'focus' changes, employee 'responsibilities') -As many have mentioned there are issues with added workload and responsibilities with ZERO incentive / compensation -No 401k matching -No tuition reimbursement -Benefit packages are on the more expensive side for individuals and for family packages they are outrageously expensive -Company's lack of willingness to invest in the appropriate amount of needed employees to balance out work load -PTO usage can be difficult as there are frequently not enough people to cover shifts (24x7 coverage) -Turn over rate appears to above average and likely the result of being 'over worked / underpaid' -If your in a non-technical role, such as sales, marketing, quality, ect. you'll likely have time to attend the Nuspire 'Good Times' events, which attempts to build morale, but as mentioned, if your in a technical role, you'll be too busy to attend -Work life balance is not good at all(some weeks having to put in upwards of 25 hours extra, totaling 65 hours, to complete tasks due to workload and or systems not working) -Depending on your position, you may be 'on-call', there are zero benefits when on-call, no 'on-call pay', no compensation for when you do get called and have to work 'off-hours' -Merger with an acquired company has taken 2+ years to compelted and is still not done -Migration of 'ticketing systems' has been ongoing for over 1.5 years and is still incomplete -Migration of 'SIEM system' has been ongoing for over 6 months -There are a lot of issues with tasks / projects being 'partially' completed and 'going live', for client facing items, this is being aggressively fixed -Major system reliability issues, primarily SIEM related, multiple SIEM's, the original SIEM that the company started with is consistently unreliable, resulting in a significant increase in time to work events
