Expect to be micromanaged and have meetings upon meetings. In these meetings, verbal abuse goes unchecked. One VP's style is to verbally insult her staff, outside business partnerships and other Nine Network VP's. And none of those meetings will matter because the staff who have been there for over 15 years get a pass and avoid the meetings altogether. The production team lacks any diversity and creativity. It's mainly older white executives/producers creating 95% of all the content. Managers do little to nurture or mentor their staff or interns. Producers hate the interns; it makes them have to work harder. In fact, they undermine the less vocal staff by paying them very low wages. If you're lucky enough to become a content producer, be prepared to spend your days making content tied to specific funders. Unlike at other PBS affiliates, at Nine Network you won't produce original daily (or even weekly) news, kids, gardening or cooking programming.
