Pros
- Working hours can SOMETIMES be pretty okay. Not always - depends on what they throw at you to work on. - Minimal control. To the point you're solo from the moment you join. - People are all superficially nice. It's like they're afraid of having an opinion or maybe. sharing it. - There are SOME really great people here, but few and far between. They all sort of die out after a while.
Cons
Good Lord! So many. 1. They don't care about the students. They care about making it seem as if they do. 2. The oldies are just waiting to retire. They don't want change. They don't want to keep up with the times even though student demographics have evolved. They don't want to participate in ANYTHING. They don't care - they can't get fired. 3. Processes are so archaic; it's a joke. There's so much double-handling; if this was in industry, they'd be fired. 4. I've come to realise Polys are 5 years behind everyone. By the time they catch up, it's too late. 5. PAY SUCKS.
