Pros

I worked Telemetry. As a new nurse it's a lot to learn. The people on the night rotations were the BEST! The pay was the best in the area. Management will work with your schedule.

Cons

There was ONE doctor who was so rude and just so happened most of the patients were hers. The facility still does paper charting. Lack of CNA'S. Patient:Nurse ratio is 6:1 (most nights). DAY shift nurses are bullies. Turn over rate is extremely high. Management never solves conflicts, just tell BOTH parties what they want to hear. Need a unit secretary for DAY and NIGHT shift. TOO MUCH TIME WASTED ON PETTY THINGS BECAUSE OF LACK OF STAFF. Training was kind of crappy as a new nurse. This floor is ran like "Mean Girls". Having to change password so often is ridiculous. ER would hold patients till the end of the shift so either you would get an admission coming on or near the time of you leaving. Patients rooms are extremely outdated. We would have to take Med surg patient because their didn't have suction in the rooms. ER sends patients that should have had certain care performed in their unit.
