Pros
Good performance feedback mechanisms in place; Excellent leadership; Family run business run by down-to-earth people who enjoy good food / good life
Cons
Unclear succession planning causes good people to leave the company when they really don't want to. There is a tendancy to move too slowly in the implementation of change (too concerned about what the employees will think and do about it). Also, there tends to be too much tolerance for incompetent employees who really aren't pulling their weight.
