If you are not Irish, you may feel unfairly treated. They can call you at any time asking you to cover shifts, and if you refuse, your roster may be reduced or cancelled. The people in the control room often lack professionalism and can be rude in the way they speak to staff. If you are a student, I would strongly advise against joining this company. Your roster is not fixed, as they may call you anytime to cover shifts, forcing you to cancel your personal plans or schedule. They may also pressure you to work beyond the 20-hour student limit. If you decline shifts, they may reduce or cancel your roster. I have seen many students struggle because of this. Some wanted to attend college or search for jobs in their field, but the scheduling was so inconsistent and stressful that they felt forced to choose between work and study.
