Pros
Leidos works on genuinely meaningful programmes, which makes the work feel purposeful and impactful. Employees across programme delivery and functions are highly knowledgeable, collaborative, and genuinely want to do the right thing. I have consistently been surrounded by exceptionally gifted colleagues, and this has helped my own professional development immeasurably. The SLT is a group of amazing leaders that deliver on their promises and truly care about the employees. They support innovation and continuous improvement, even though change can take time. I led a great team of professionals in a highly critical function of Leidos and have seen all of them develop, grow and bring incredible value to the business. They were the reason why I enjoyed every single day at work and I am throughly happy to know they all have exceptional futures ahead of them. Thank you.
Cons
Processes can sometimes be slow or overly complex due to the nature of the business and client requirements. Communication between divisions can be inconsistent, creating silos and duplicated effort. But the SLT has a laser focus on this aspect and I have seen great improvements in this area. Some teams feel under-resourced, which places pressure on delivery and recruitment timelines. But this is a group effort, and together we have done very well to get to together processes that define how we operate. We've continued to monitor these and refine them. There is always room for improvement, but I am happy to say that the business self-reflects very well and always looks to do better proactively.
