Pros

It's a job and in today's economy you have to take what you can get until something better comes along.

Cons

This company is going thru many management changes. Once the CEO retired in December the new president seems set on running the company into the ground. In any job here you are subject to intense micromanagement, poor training (if any), and the vice president is unwilling to help. Coworkers also will not assist you when you have questions and you are often left with no supervision, yet you are expected to magically know every aspect of the job and when you ask questions you are treated as a problem. The health benefits are outrageous for what little amount of money you make and comission and mileage checks are paid when the company decides to pay you, not on the actual due date.

Pros

Great training- I have been able to work with all departments in the company to get a better understanding of how the company functions. I've shadowed the operators in Central Station, service technicians, operation managers, costumer service representatives and have been able to meet amazing employees! Flexible- They are very flexible with my summer school schedule, while ensuring I have a steady work schedule. Innovative company- Constantly looking for ways to improve! Room for growth- many employees started working for Sonitrol several years ago and have worked their way up into senior management; General manager, Operation manager, CEO etc. NO GLASS CEILING HERE!
