Pros
Good commission percentage for a recent graduate. Good benefits plan.
Cons
There is no training program, if you are completely new to the staffing industry, your best strategy will be to learn from your peers (some of whom are quite helpful depending on experience level) instead of management. If you are brought on as a recruiter, rather than an Account Manager/Sales, you will not be appreciated. The theme "recruiting is easy and sales is hard" is steadily reinforced, and the under-appreciation is even more evident in the pay disparity. Management clearly displays its ineptitude when it comes to technology and how to recruit. It frequently just regurgitates what others have already said, but takes credit for it as being their own idea. The review "Innovative, Flexible Environment" is clearly an attempt by management to save face as it makes several statements that are simply not true. 1) several contractors have complained and quit in the past for not being paid on time for several months, this was not an isolated incident, and will continue to happen. 2) no employee has ever received any sort of bonus whether it was a cash bonus, gift card, half day, etc.... Management is perpetually negative, to the point where it seems like they want you to fail. On nearly every occasion of receiving an offer from a client, management expressed that the candidate was going to reject the offer without having any practical knowledge of the candidate's situation. With the plethora of other staffing opportunities in the DC metro area, I strongly recommend exploring options outside of Kellton Tech.
