      High pay scale, consistent work mostly 8am-4pm M-F, time and a half for any overtime, education environment Journeymen mentor Apprentices, large scale project so stay at job sites longer.

      Job site locations vary so you move around a lot and sometime require long commutes

      Pros

      Good teachers and learning environment in JATC. Highly responsive administration for school.

      Cons

      Seems like there is always whining about political drama within the union. Reminds me of high school sometimes.

      If you love construction or service work.

      Cons

      Will take a pay cut to do apprenticeship, but it pays off, if you can last thru the 5 years of being a subordinate.
