Pros
None. I do not recommend working here.
Cons
Upper management is so unreasonable and communication is terrible. Plus they have no respect for your personal time. They would give you an assignment due the next day and you had to work through the night to complete it by the deadline. They would send you an invite for a meeting 5 minutes before you are about to leave and the meeting would be after work hours. Really there were no work hours. You are expected to be at there at night. There is a major disconnect between upper management and the staff. Often the staff’s input is ignored. It was a very stressful work environment. As a new hire, you are thrown into 2 or 3 difficult portfolios with no training and the deadlines are unreasonable. Closing is inefficient. You have to print out work 5 or 6 times because they want you to make journal entries worth pennies. Management could never get a handle on closing. It was always chaotic scramble to complete everything. Work was not expected to be quality, just done on time. You spend most of closing trying to catch up with the prior month’s mistakes while the new mistakes are not able to be addressed. The other departments have no responsibility for their mistakes. It all lies on the accountant. I am a team player and I know how to work hard, but this place is just terrible. In the interview process, ask what the employee turnover is? It is high. I wish I had read a review like the one I am giving before I took the position because the job was not what they made it out to be. They will lie to get you in the door. Also, they stopped giving exit interviews because so many people have quit and they refuse to acknowledge there is a problem.
