*Leadership decision making *Corrupt HR *Lack of growth opportunities GOJO provides its employees with next to no autonomy to make decisions. Decisions require multiple hoops to jump through and buy in and input from so many people that results in hours and hours of rework that doesn’t necessarily add value to the end product. GOJO leadership somehow managed to take a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with a global pandemic and squander it to the point of no return. After the company did something similar during the H1N1 pandemic, you’d think they would have learned from their mistakes. Not only did they not learn, but they took all of the things they did wrong and applied them 10-fold to their approach to the COVID pandemic. This resulted in gross over investments, ultimately requiring the company to sell off facilities specifically purchased to support pandemic demand and cut hundreds of valued roles and dedicated employees. The HR team is pathetically lacking in competence and ethical guide. The goal is to hire only those who are yes men/women who will go along with whatever is asked of them - even when that borderlines illegal activity. Harassment, inappropriate relationships, sexual misconduct - all fair game for the GOJO HR team. The more unethical and inept you are, the better you’ll do as a member of this HR team. If you’re looking to grow to advance in your career, look elsewhere. High-performing employees will remain in the same roles without any meaningful advancement or skill growth for 5-10 years. This applies to both corporate and plant employees. Unless it’s required by OSHA, the FDA, or some other governing body, plant employees do not ever see training or advancement opportunities.
