Pros
I tell you, absolutely no pros of working for this company.
Cons
Prefacing this with a response to the positive reviews; these are of the current HR lead. One review is with her personal account and another with her work account. You can absolutely tell that the intention is to prop up the company's reviews because each is perfectly AI-generated. In this company, a person will never see career progression as favouritism is rampant. If you are in the CEO's good graces, you will be rewarded. Not monetarily, of course—but rather with a 'better' title. Favotech has cashflow issues, this means that employees does not get paid, whether it be interns or senior staff members. This is not to say that they will recover as often they are blinded by the appearance of a 'technology' company. Most recent case of spending high four-figures in refurbishing the office rather than staff salaries. Culture at Favotech is cut-throat and downright unethical. Staff are forced to work past the legal limit of 9 hours without overtime pay (illegal btw). Management also blames staff because their attendance tracking system malfunctions. Furthermore, the current CSO Azim Hazwan, brother of the CEO Arham Zulqarnaen, who hails from MINDEF has repeatedly blurred the lines of switching from the government to a private enterprise. The company will also often post misleading job openings with a higher salary, aiming to pull a bait-and-switch, showing the lack of ethics. In terms of diversity, Favotech has none. The senior management will go out of their way to reject non-Malay candidates, whether it be for internships or more senior level positions. The current C-suites are all rotten to the core—as simple as that. The CEO brings very little technical or business expertise to the company. Work-life balance at the company is appalling. There has been cases of staff being forced to do tasks complete opposite of their expertise and members needing medical care due to a lack of sleep. Working at Favotech is a sacrifice—sacrifice to your health, pocket and wellbeing with no career progression.
