The entire team is supportive, encouraging, and hardworking. Everyone is always willing to jump in and help wherever needed. Management is very patient and understanding with those who are new and still learning and they are not afraid to take time away from their busy workload to help. The owner encourages open communication and strives to maintain a positive and fun work environment for all. The profit sharing plan is a huge incentive and reflects the owner’s desire to reward the team for our efforts. There are opportunities to travel complimentary to the destinations that we specialize in, a generous PTO plan, and great insurance benefits.

I have not experienced any of the cons noted in former employee reviews. I will admit that I was a bit nervous after reading through them before I interviewed for the position, but I believe that there will always be a group of dissatisfied employees at any company. During the pandemic the travel industry was one of the hardest hit, and the subsequent lay offs were difficult but necessary in order for agencies to stay alive. While I empathize with their experience, I can confidently say that from day 1 I have had a fantastic experience with zero complaints.

Cozy and comfortable office, phenomenal coworkers who are passionate and ambitious, the ability to be an expert in interesting and unique travel destinations, occasionally being sent on trips, great work/life balance.

Severe micromanagement, low pay, no official HR, nepotism, high turnover, no career growth opportunities While the pay is reasonable (though low for living in Seattle) this isn’t a “forever” career for most, but the great travel opportunities and amazing coworkers makes it worthwhile. The work is not intrinsically difficult, but the overall management of the company leaves a lot to be desired. The main sources of frustration are not valuing employees, showing blatant favoritism, and intense micromanagement (the minutes away from your desk are unofficially monitored). If you are male, you’ll likely do well here. The best trips will be offered to you, you’ll receive higher pay and bonuses (which is a whole other non-transparent and arbitrary system), and you’ll be given the best leads. This company tends to highly praise those they set up for success, while others who are not given the same opportunities must struggle to keep up. Overall, it is not a bad place to work and I hope they continue to thrive, but like any business it has its behind-the-scenes challenges.
