Pros
Good people doing good work. I started as a consultant and enjoyed the cause, the work and solving issues for the management and staff. In working with a team, I like to give credit where credit is due. There were many opportunities for staff to create cross-functional teams to complete projects.
Cons
This was my opportunity to continue my work for social justice issues. The commitment to challenging the environmental polluters and the resulting intense workload seemed to quietly strain staff. This can cause staff to leave either burned out or undervalued. Luckily, the expanding work led to an opportunity to add staff and diversify.
