Pros

Great talented designers. Worked on some interesting and diverse projects in the US and around the world, in different scales. My direct manager and senior staff were very open on project emails so I got to know what's going on about projects very well which I really appreciate. Family style events and gatherings are very nice. People from different cultures enriches the company culture diversity.

Cons

Too many bosses, too many gossips sometimes negative. Corporate feeling is getting strong. Principals are all under great pressure of bringing money, getting things done, billing sooner, a little of lack on quality control on certain projects. Sustainable practice got started but not well applied, depending on clients's demand instead of professional principle.

Pros

EDSA has a strong reputation in the industry, supported by a highly intelligent and skilled team. The firm offers significant opportunities for professional growth and the chance to work on globally recognized projects. Their employee benefits are competitive and comprehensive. Many of the principals are exceptionally professional, approachable, and supportive.

Cons

The internal culture can be challenging. There is a noticeable lack of diversity, and the environment is often dominated by a specific group, which may leave others feeling excluded or insecure about their job stability. Even employees who are promoted to senior positions can feel vulnerable. This culture of fear can be emotionally taxing. Branch offices seem under-resourced in terms of support infrastructure—often lacking dedicated HR or IT personnel—which leads to a heavy reliance on virtual communication and online feedback. This structure makes performance reviews feel impersonal and sometimes unbalanced. The middle management layer tends to be less supportive and, in some cases, toxic, which significantly impacts the work environment and team morale. There is little tolerance for differing working styles, even among high-achieving employees with credentials such as LAF/ASLA awards, PLA, LEED, or SITES certifications. Additionally, the firm's portfolio is overwhelmingly focused on a single type of commercial project, which limits opportunities for sustainable design—a core value for many professionals in this field.
