Pros

There are some good people there. Helping clients, who are already in a difficult and overwhelming industry, can be satisfying.

Cons

The salaries on this website are inaccurate. Anticipate $16-$17/hr as a Payroll Specialist ($19 cap). Time & Attendance Specialist $16 cap. Service Advisors $19-$20, Service Advisor Admin $16-$17. Almost all positions including Onboarding/New Hire Coordinator and Customer Support Specialist average around $16/hr. The pay is not sustainable, but it would be *okay* if the job was not so stressful. Payroll usually is only half-staffed. As more clients are picked up everyone is expected to take on additional caseloads. Clients/Employers/Employees get easily frustrated with issues that are frequently out of our hands. This issue is made worse by the volume of work - it very well could take multiple days to be forwarded an email that you can't assist with. I understand why clients and service providers get upset, but they don't see how much work is being handed down from management. Speaking of management, LOL. The majority of the department supervisors were "grandfathered in." The company culture is a big game of favoritism and unwavering loyalty. They don't understand how to implement methods that encourage good work ethic. Instead, they let you know you're being watched, and make sure you feel it too. While at CDS, nobody in my department could actually determine what our supervisor ...did? My recommendation? Do NOT work here, especially in payroll. If it's your only offer, make an exit plan from the start.
