Pros
Workload is pretty good, some nice paying runs if you don't mind driving into suburbia. Hours are flexible, but since you're a "contract driver" the more you drive the more you earn. Needing a day/morning off etc at a moments notice won't be a big issue. Consistency equates to more earning though, so better to be consistent.
Cons
Dispatch does try to shove some clockwork routes down your throat at times, most recently a large nationwide "bookseller" who uses CMS as one if its local delivery groups. That work is NOT very well paying, but I do agree there are drivers who like that kind of work and wish they could get more. Me, I like the variety of "board work", Start up "fees" for uniform, paperwork, and that deposit for equipment can be a bit overwhelming for new hires. The weekly "radio rental" fee seems high. The weekly fee for belong to NICA seems more of a rip-off than anything else. Not a whole lot provided for that fee. Use them for weekly tax escrow and payments, very very important but would sure like to avoid that fee...... oh well
