Other departments seem to have great relationships, and there are some wonderful, hardworking people at this company. Overall company culture is very laid back, friendly, upbeat and positive - with many fun and engaging employee activities and incentives.
Cons
Gender Discrimination within my immediate team (being talked down to, inappropriate behavior, embarrassment in front of coworkers, harassing tone to emails), and making new employees feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Advancement of individuals lacking tenure, relevant experience, and the social skill set imperative for the job. A “Boys Club” mentality and corresponding behavior make it a very unpleasant and toxic work environment for women. Inadequate training, coupled with antiquated technology and processes. Absence of corporate cards, although frequent travel is a requirement of the position.
