      CAL provides support, tools, and resources to grow your book of business. They are willing to invest in your growth with networking groups and trade associations. This organization is there to help you create lasting client relationships and get off of the transactional treadmill with your client base. We also have marketing support assisting you with sourcing insurance markets, structuring programs and onboarding new clients.

      Cons

      Being a boutique firm can make it harder to attract and win some of the larger ($100M+) clients.

      Pros

      Direct access to leaders who can make decisions. No longer waiting for days or weeks to get decisions made. Privately held and intending to stay that way. No more worries about what happens to my position or my team due to an acquisition. Casual work environment. Stand up desks. Great team approach with everyone at CAL willing to help each other. Free parking and we are on the muni line so quick access to the financial district whenever I want to go downtown.

      Cons

      Not a Class A building, but I like the trade off for access to Ocean Beach and free parking.

      Remote, pay, benefits, 401k, etcetera...

      Cons

      False advertisement on job ad, hired then given tasks of a CSR (completely different role than described in original post). Set up failure upon first mistake. Hostile work environment. Let go out of retaliation.
